Architectonic labyrinth

A system of rooms building a sequence of concave and convex / dark and light spaces. Six circles form three repeating sequences. Two of the sequences are each composed of 1. a low entry room, 2. an elevated convex and light room, 3. an elevated concave and dark room, and 4. of a narrow outside space. The third sequence again starts with a low and long entry room but ends directly in a light, perfectly convex space – a circle – in which in contrast to the previous convex rooms the ground is lowered one step instead of elevated. The construction is a wooden frame construction, with vertical bars thinning out towards the openings between the rooms (intersections of circles).
The system is illustrated in the ground plan as an oil painting.

Atelier house
A row house in Poblenou, Barcelona. Houses are arranged along their long sides in rows, only connected by a circular perforation in the walls of their narrow courtyards. On the ground floor of each house there is an atelier work space oriented towards the public front side of the house. The residential part of the house is entered through a small private court yard in the back. The court yard separates living spaces from bed rooms, which are connected by outdoor bridges. Outdoor stairs in the court yard also connect the three levels.

The reflective shoe box

Shoes are bought not only for practical reasons but are often carriers of wishes and hopes regarding one’s own personality and life. A shoe box is therefore also carrier of dreams or illusions. On the other side of illusions lie the reflections about one self on the background of the reality surrounding us in the present.
